I have seen over 60 movies at Famous Players theatres with MoPix captioning (and usually also with audio description). Famous Players staff, from teenagers to middle-aged managers, put me through the wringer repeatedly about signing out caption reflectors and description headsets.
In April 2004, I filed a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner against Famous Players. I alleged numerous violations of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Over a year later, I prevailed on all but one count.
...frankly, it was a Pyrrhic victory.
