In our previous instalment, we wondered if this esteemed Weblog still had a reason to exist. So much of what we were kvetching about for two long years has been fixed, in large part if not everywhere and in all cases.
We also promised to nominate some counterexamples.
And how long ago was that?
We do not have the promised list. We have, in effect, overpromised and underdelivered.
But we do have a Plan B. We’ll be spending the next year – yes, the NUblog will still be here in Hallowe’en of ’03 – looking at specific online-content genres and linking, variously, to well-executed examples thereof and to examples that contradict the prevailing ethos. The Establishment and the Rebels both, as it were.
Our first instalment? Comix.
