I gave a presentation entitled “I can’t read what you’re saying” at the Association Typographique Internationale conference in Vancouver on September 27, 2003. The topic concerned the typography of captioning, and in particular, the new field of online captioning.
I’ve got two items available:
- Speaking notes
- PDF samples (1.7 MB): Not pleased with these, because of a bug in the process for creating tagged accessible PDFs. (If you join a tagged and an untagged PDF, you can never properly tag the resulting file.) Nonetheless, despite the fact that the file fails the accessibility checker, every accessibility feature is in place, and I’m not doing them over again.
