Responses to WCAG 2.0 documents

This document provides links to my comments on three documents published by the Web Accessibility Initiative on 2006.04.27.

Response to WCAG 2.0
My comments on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (the main WCAG document)
Response to “Understanding WCAG 2.0”
My comments on Understanding WCAG 2.0
Response to “Techniques for WCAG 2.0
My comments on Techniques for WCAG 2.0

These comments are a companion to my article for A List Apart, “To Hell with WCAG 2,” which many of you will have read and all of you should.

From my experience writing that article, the time commitment required to provide strictly accurate deep links within the WCAG documents isn’t worth it. For one thing, it’s tedious to find the right fragment identifier, and sometimes there isn’t one where there needs to be. Since I am quoting text from the documents, you are pretty much on your own when it comes to tracking down the exact passage. Some internal links and markup in the quoted text were removed and everything was copy-edited.
